Awards Night 2024
There were six Southside Fitness Participants presented with Overall Fitness Awards for 2024.
The first two recipients received the Southside Fitness Endurance Award, for their consistency in maintaining their overall fitness levels over a three year period, while averaging a minimum of 50 classes a year. This Year’s two Southside Fitness Endurance Athletes Award, went to Shirley Lynch and Ashling Dolan.
There was one Male ‘Fitness Person of the Year’ for 2024, and two Female ‘Fitness Persons of the Year’.
This award is presented to recognise a ‘Significant Improvement’ in overall areas of fitness e.g. cardiovascular fitness, Strength gains, fat/weight loss, and a minimum of 70 classes in the year.
The Male ‘Fitness Person of the Year’ was awarded to Eoin Fitzpatrick.
The Two Female ‘Fitness Persons of the Year’ were awarded to Loreto Hayden, and Anne Marie Phillips.
The Stephen McDonald ‘Perpetual Trophy’ is awarded to a Southside Fitness participant of more the 5 years, for their contribution in many ways, primarily for their help and encouragement to newcomers to the Circuit Training Classes, or/and contributing to events outside of the classes, like our casual Wednesday evening runs, or our Sunday morning mountain runs.
This Year’s Winner (the second year of the award) went to Siobhan Kelly, one of our first Female Southside Fitness, ‘Fitness Persons of the year for 2011.
